No, users are welcome to use an iOS device, Android device, or laptop/PC instead of a TouchLink touchpanel. These types of interfaces would require an Extron LinkLicense for User Interfaces to be redeemed on one of our control processors and the Extron Control app. Extron Control is an easy-to-use AV control system app that gives users complete access to Extron control systems directly from Apple iOS or Android devices. If using a laptop or PC for the interface only, LinkLicense for User Interfaces is required.
