Extron Now Shipping Two Input DTP Transmitters for EU and MK Junction Boxes
Anaheim, California (October 29, 2014) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce the immediate availability of four DTP transmitters designed to fit in standard two-gang EU-type and MK-type electrical junction boxes. The DTP T EU 232 and DTP T MK 232 send HDMI or analog video, audio, and control up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a shielded CATx cable, while DTP T EU 332 and DTP T MK 332 versions send these signals up to 330 feet (100 meters). These two input DTP transmitters are HDCP compliant and include independent analog stereo audio connections. They support computer video up to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K. The transmitters also feature EDID Minder, auto-switching between inputs, remote power capability, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through for remote AV device control. The wall-mountable design of the DTP T EU and DTP T MK provides the convenience of placing input connections precisely where they are needed.
"With the DTP T EU and DTP T MK, AV system designers now have wallplate transmitter solutions that seamlessly fit into their DTP System designs," says Rainer Stiehl, Vice President of Marketing, Europe for Extron. "They are easily installed within standard junction boxes and offer simplified input connectivity from portable lecterns, boardroom tables, and wall locations in configurable room environments."
The DTP T EU and DTP T MK provide reliable switching and transmission of HDMI and VGA signals. In addition to RS-232 input selection, these products can be set up to automatically switch when they detect a source, making them ideal for automatic routing and unattended operation. To streamline installation, the transmitters can be remotely powered over the same twisted pair cable used to transmit the video and audio. The DTP T EU and DTP T MK offer an HDBaseT output mode that provides the additional integration convenience of a twisted pair output that can send video and embedded audio, plus bidirectional control signals to any HDBaseT-enabled display.
